Local educators come together to learn how to stop bullying

ROCKFORD (WREX)- Local educators teamed up on Wednesday to participate in an anti-bullying workshop at the Stenstrom Center for Education at Rock Valley College.

Teachers there got to learn about different types of bullying and the signs of a bully.

Organizers hope participants at the workshop can pass on the lessons learned today to others.

“We’re hoping that the people that attend will collaborate with each other and share best practices of how they’re doing it at their school,” says Valerie Tippitt. “So, it is basically learning from each other and learning from people attending.”

The workshop was held by VT Agency, representing Meemic Insurance Company.

CEANCI and Guided Choices also sponsored the event.
