Broadway set to dim all lights for Rockford’s Marin Mazzie after social media backlash

All the lights on Broadway will now dim for Rockford-born performer Marin Mazzie.

That’s after a slew of backlash on social media when only six Broadway theaters were set to dim their lights in her honor.

Mazzie died last week of ovarian cancer at the age of 57. She graduated from Boylan High School and performed in a number of major Broadway shows.

All of the marquis on Broadway will dim at 6:45 p.m. for one minute, this Friday Sept. 21.
