Man carjacked at gunpoint in Rockford

ROCKFORD (WREX) – A man is robbed at gunpoint while walking from his garage to his apartment.

According to Rockford Police, it happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at 4500 block of Governor’s Drive. The victim was walking to his apartment after parking his car inside the garage when he was confronted by two armed suspects.

The suspects took the victim’s belongings, including the keys to his vehicle. The suspects then drove off in the victim’s car; a silver, four-door Chrysler 300.

The victim was not hurt in the incident. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Rockford Police Department.
