Rockford man arrested after domestic incident

Rockford Police have arrested a man after they say he fired a gun inside a house during a domestic incident. 

Juckapun Wannaveg is charged with 4 counts of disorderly conduct following his arrest. Police say it happened around 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the 3600 block of Palmetto Road. 

Officials say they were responding to calls of shots being fired inside the home. Officers were able to get both victims in the home out safely before arresting Wannaveg. One of the victims barricaded themself in a room to avoid Wannaveg. 

Officers say that Wannaveg walked out of the home unarmed shortly after both victims were taken to safety. Officers did find a gun in the home which they say was used in the incident.
