Two people shot in Rockford

Rockford Police say two people have been shot Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 1:45 p.m. at the 600 block of Acorn Street. 

Officials say that a 20-year-old man was shot in the head and a 39-year-old woman was also shot, but officials did not say where.

Both victims injuries are considered serious, but not life threatening. 

Officers say that there is no suspect information at this time.
