The Rockford PRO/AM tees off next Monday at the Rockford Country Club, and one of the big signals the tournament is nearing is the annual Pairings Party. All the amateur foursomes now know which pro golfer they’ll take the course with next week.
Aqua-Aerobics owned the first pick, as the six prime sponsors rotate among who gets the top pick. They selected two-time LPGA Major champion Brittany Lincicome, who has become a Rockford PRO/AM fan favorite in recent years due to her heavy hitting and electric personality.
The Midland States Bank group, which features a group of high school golfers, chose recent Illinois graduate Nick Hardy with the second pick. He’s the latest in a string of Fighting Illini All-Americans. The Midland group features Rockford Christian’s Kody Page, Belvidere North’s Bennett Baker, Rockford Lutheran’s Natalie Hooper and Guilford’s Katelyn Sayyalinh.
Kelley Williamson Co. made Wesley Bryan the third overall pick. Bryan is known for his trick shots and should be a fun personality at the PRO/AM.
Greenlee chose Kevin Streelman with the fourth pick, with Woodward selecting Martin Piller next, followed by Ken Duke to Pierce Distribution.
