Del Monte is recalling small vegetable trays that were sold in Illinois and several other states.
The Illinois Department of Public Health issued a warning on Saturday.
It advises customers to throw away any Del Monte’s "veggie trays," which include broccoli cauliflower, carrots, celery and dill dip.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration along with the Centers for Disease Controls are working with state and local officials on an investigation into a cluster of cyclosporiasis illness associated with the vegetable trays.
So far, Illinois health officials say there are no illness reported in the state.
Del Monte says the recalled products include 6,12 and 28 ounce trays, which were distributed to: Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Demond’s, Sentry, Potash, Meehan’s, Country Market, FoodMax Supermarket, and Peapod in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin and have “Best If Enjoyed By” date of June 17, 2018 or earlier.
Only 28 ounce vegetable trays were distributed in Illinois.
