Rockford man shot early Wednesday morning

Rockford Police say a man is recovering after being shot early Wednesday morning.

Police say they were called just before 5 a.m for a shooting victim at N Horsman Street, one block north of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Officials say a 47-year-old man was confronted by three suspects who fired multiple shots at the man. The victim was hit twice in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects stole the victims car, but it was later recovered.

The shooting is under investigation.
