School is the first step to the rest of your life. But for one Rockford woman who’s lived a long life, she says she’s thankful to reminisce.
Doris Noreen attended Lincoln Middle School all the way back in 1927 which is the year the school opened. At the time that she attended, the school was only open for 7th to 9th graders.
"Yeah I’ve been very blessed. all along the way. to have health and strength and my faculties."
Doris says she considers herself lucky to have lived such a long life, she turns 105 in September.
