Athlete of the Week – Josh Lynde

Boylan senior volleyball player Josh Lynde is our new WREX Athlete of the Week. Lynde bounced back from breaking the same leg twice, and now is a big reason for the Titans’ early season success.

"I was down, and I was sad, but overall I had a positive mood," Lynde said. "I knew I had to work hard to get back to where I was and I was ready to do it."

Now as a senior, Lynde is killing and blocking for Boylan as the Titans chase a NIC-10 title.

"He has the biggest vertical on the team," Boylan coach Tom Lynde, Josh’s uncle, said. "He jumps higher than anybody as far as getting over the top of the net."

Lynde is happy to return to the volleyball court. He appreciates it much more after his two injuries.

"It really opens your eyes when you can’t walk for two months," Lynde said. "Then after that you can walk, run and jump. It gives you a greater appreciation for doing everyday things."

He hopes to lead Boylan to wins every game day this season.
