Nicole Stein

Morning Anchor

Nicole Stein joined WREX in September of 2017 and anchors for 13 News Today. Before she came to WREX, Nicole reported for Arizona State University’s newscast on PBS until she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Nicole then moved to Medford, Oregon, and worked as a reporter and weekend anchor.

Nicole was born and raised in Southern California, and based on the past two states she’s lived in, you can say she’s definitely a West Coast girl!

Nicole has wanted to be in news for as long as she can remember. In fact, in kindergarten she told her teachers she wanted to be Barbara Walters! Outside of news, Nicole loves to read, dance, travel and hang with friends. She also loves to eat good food, and explore. So if you have any Midwest recommendations for her, be sure to let her know!

Little known facts about Nicole:

  • Her family is South African, and she is a first generation American.
  • She has a chihuahua mix named Millie
  • She was a dancer and cheerleader her whole life, right through college. She is now Auburn High School’s Assistant Cheer Coach!
