Rockford police officer charged with domestic battery

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford police officer is on administrative leave pending allegations of domestic battery.

Rockford officer Sisomphou T. Singmouangthong is charged with one count of domestic battery involving bodily harm, according to court records.

Court records show that the incident happened on July 11 just after 1 a.m.

Singmouangthong posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond Sept. 13 and was released from the Winnebago County Jail. He will be in court on Sept. 16.
