LOVES PARK (WREX) — Jaxon Bosselman seems like an everyday 7-year-old boy on the surface, however his journey has been far from ordinary.

Jaxon is on the autism spectrum, and had trouble talking, eating and communicating from an early age.

"When we first got that diagnosis, we were just heartbroken. We didn't know what we were going to do."

Until he started scuba-diving with Loves Park Scuba owner Dan Johnson, when he started making unbelievable progress in communication and behavioral skills.

"He's starting to talk, he was saying sentences. Now, once he starts talking and he's comfortable he is nonstop chatter."

Jaxon dives with Johnson two to three times a week, the sport helped him improve in all ways of life.

You can tune in for Jaxon's full story on Thursday, July 22, on 13 News at 10.
