MACHESNEY PARK (WREX) — If you're looking for a filling breakfast and a great atmosphere, 3 B's Café is the place for you.

When you walk in the door, expect to see a lot of smiling faces says owner Monique Pouncy.

"I have some customers who come in here every single day and you get to know them," she says.

Its the kind of spot that regulars are the regular at.

"I just enjoy talking to people that we get to know," says restaurant regular Renae Aukes, "I mean it seems like everyone seems to know each other around here."

Its customers like Aukes that Pouncy says make coming into work every day something to look forward to.

"You get to know people and they become your family."

Its not just the friendly smiles and family environment that keep customers coming back, they says it the food too.

Aukes says the café has portions and prices that you can't beat.

"They've got great food, and their generous servings and reasonably priced."

"Oh my gosh you've got to come in and try a country omelet or our country skillet," says Pouncy.

The pandemic has been a difficult time for Pouncy and the business, but knowing that her customers rely on her, say says it's made getting through this season manageable.

"We are very family oriented and my customers are our family," she says.

"We are just one big happy family and as cheesy as that sounds, I just, they get me through it."

3 B's Café is located at 7007 North Second Street in Machesney Park.

It is open for breakfast and lunch from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
