ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man accused of sexually assaulting minors in 2016 has been found guilty.

Eric Gregory Massenburg was found guilty of seven counts of predatory criminal sexual assault on Thursday.

Rockford Police Department says they were first notified of the sexual assault allegations in February of 2016.

Authorities say three children ranging from 10-13 years old told officers that Massenburg repeatedly assaulted them over a number of years.

Detectives obtained video of Massenburg abusing one of the children, according to the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office.

Massenburg is set to be sentenced in July.

Update: This article initially said the assaults happened at the Carrie Lynn Children's Center. The assaults did not happen at the center, the interviews with the children happened at the center.
