UPDATE: ROCKFORD (WREX) — The 38-year-old woman who was shot early Thursday morning has died, according to Rockford police.

Police say the woman died from her injuries sustained in the shooting.

The woman's identity will be released by the coroner's office once family is notified.

Police say an argument in the parking lot of the Kwik Mart led to someone pulling out a gun and shooting the woman and a man. The man was taken to the hospital where he suffered life-threatening injuries, according to police.

No arrests have been made at this time.

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Rockford Police say a shooting at a Kwik Mart leaves two adults with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the shooting happened Thursday morning at the 1200 block of 7th Street.

Authorities add the two people injured are adults, one male and one female.
