ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Freeport Lady Pretzels kept their undefeated record taking down Hononegah 1-0 in a low-scoring affair on Tuesday night. Autumn Diduch scored the lone goal for Freeport. Both teams came into the contest undefeated and at the top of the NIC-10. Now, Freeport holds sole possession of first place.

"I think our defense today really stepped up," Freeport senior Maddie Macon said. "Hononegah has really good girls. Our defense - Bri Schaney, Kennedy Spachman, Kalli [Yoder] - they really stepped up in this game. Naomi Jackson always defends the goal really well. We don't really have to worry about anything getting past. Today our defense really stood up."

The Guilford girls soccer team also won Tuesday night, shutting out Harlem 2-0. The game was scoreless at halftime, with both teams playing great defense. Reese Zediker and Addisen Peacock both scored for Guilford, as the two freshman led the way for the Lady Vikings.
