Man suffers life-threatening injuries following hit and run in Rockford

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Rockford Police Department says a man is fighting for his life after a hit and run crash.

Police say it happened Saturday night around 8 p.m. in the 2900 block of W. State St., near Bayliss Ave.

When police arrived on scene, they found a 50-year-old man in the road suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police the suspect vehicle was a white sedan.
