Beloit Police investigate shooting that injured 16-year-old

BELOIT (WREX) -- Beloit Police say a 16-year-old was shoot in the 1700 block of Hemlock Street on Friday night around 8 p.m.. Police posted about the shooting on Facebook just after 9 p.m..

As of 9:30, police are still on scene investigating, they ask that you avoid the area.

"If anyone witnessed this shooting or has information, please call us at 608-757-2244," the post said.

Police did not disclose the severity of the injuries to the 16-year-old, or say if a suspect was in custody.
