Family and friends continue to search for Patrick Reum

ROCKFORD (WREX)—A group of family members and friends continued a search Saturday to find a missing Rockford man.

Rockford police say 28-year-old Patrick Reum has been missing since December.

Since then, his family has been searching for him and answers.

Today the group along with the Wings of Hope/Northstar Search and Rescue, and the Southern Illinois Search Team and Chaos Divers, searched for Reum in and around the Rock River.

Even as months continue to go by, his mother says she won't stop looking for him.

"He's got potential, maybe he doesn't see it in himself sometimes but we just need to find him. Because he is out there somewhere and we don't know if he was abducted, we don't know if he went into this river because it is horrible to look at it. Just don't know" said Kathy Reum.

Reum was last seen near the 400 block of south first street on December 12th.

If you have any information about Reum's whereabouts, contact the Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900 or the Rockford Area Crimestoppers at 815-963-7867.
