FREEPORT (WREX)-After Noah Boos unexpected death in a car wreck in 2004. He and his mother decided to give away a gift, she didn't want to give up any time soon.
Boos helped more than 20 people by donating his tissue. Gayle, the mother of Noah says, he brought up organ donation when he was 18. While she didn't want to have that conversation he persisted.
"Two Illinois men received his anterior cruciate ligaments. Even though tissue is not as easily tracked as organ donation, he helped at least an additional 23 people," Gayle Boos.
Gayle spoke about her experience at OSF Saint Anthony. The hospital raised a flag today in honor of people who gave the gift of life and those waiting for a life saving organ transplant.
