FREEPORT (WREX) — After battling back from a 14-point deficit in the 1st half, Highland's comeback attempt fell short against Triton, with the Lady Trojans winning 62-58 in the Region IV championship game.

Highland cut it to a 1-point in the 3rd quarter, but could never get over the hump and take the lead. Every time the Lady Cougars made a run, Triton responded and eventually sealed up the victory.

Aquin grad Abby Barr finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Pearl City grad Tyra Clark had 12 points and 14 rebounds in the loss for Highland. After not fielding a team last year, Highland came back in a big way and will look to build on this season in the coming years.
