Boylan, Harlem stay perfect with big wins Saturday

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Boylan Titans held Hononegah to just seven points, winning 21-7 Saturday afternoon. The Indians previously scored 61 and 50 points in weeks one and two, respectively. Boylan QB Benny Jass ran for two touchdowns, while throwing for one to Xavier Bryant. The Titans have now won 17 consecutive conference games.

Harlem edged Belvidere North 44-42 in a back and forth battle in Belvidere. The Blue Thunder led at half, until James Cooper and the Huskies came roaring back to make for an exciting finish.

He graduated from Emerson College in May of 2020, just two days before moving to Rockford to take the job at WREX as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. He majored in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Communication.

Sam is originally from Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and has been an avid sports fan his whole life. He played basketball and baseball in high school, and he went on to play collegiate baseball at Emerson.
