Chicago Bears honor Harlem’s Cooper

Harlem James Cooper Honored

CHICAGO (WREX) — The Chicago Bears are continuing their tradition of honoring high school coaches and football players this spring, and a NIC-10 standout caught their eye this week. Harlem quarterback James Cooper was named the Chicago Bears "High School All-Star," for week 2 of the 6-week season.

Cooper accounted for 6 touchdowns against Freeport last week, running for 3 and throwing for 3 more. He's the conference's all-time leader in passing touchdowns and is adding to his record-setting career this shortened season. He plans on playing his college football at Iowa Western Community College.

The Bears will present Cooper with a personalized football next week.
