ROCKFORD (WREX) — Whether it was for beginners or experts, Yogis of all levels worked on their Downward Dog Sunday, for a Women's History Month yoga session.

Yoga instructor, Tasha Rude, has been hosting yoga classes at Rockford Dance Company for the past couple of weeks. Rockford Dance Company said it's goal is to branch out and show Rockford that it offers more than just dance.

Tasha Rude said even though the yoga session was for Women's History Month, yoga is for men as well.

"I think yoga is important for everybody, not only women but men as well," Rude said. "It is great for your body your mind and your spirit. It helps with flexibility, balance and to relax."

Rude said anyone at any fitness level can start yoga at any time. She said the easiest way is to look for YouTube tutorials or check out classes at your local gym.
