OREGON (WREX) — The funeral for Nathaniel Burton, the 7-year-old Oregon boy who died last month, has been paid off thanks to donations from the community.

The funeral home tells 13 WREX the funeral was largely paid for by community fundraisers and donations.

Organizers are still trying to figure out how to use the extra funds.

The Oregon Police Department says they were called to a residence in the 400 block of S. 10th St. for reports of a 7-year-old boy not breathing on February 17.

The boy, later identified as Nathaniel Burton, was taken to the hospital where he later died, according to authorities.
