ROCKFORD (WREX)— A Rockford favorite is going virtual.

The Burpee Museum is hosting the 23rd annual PaleoFest online this year.

The museum decided to host the event virtually because of the pandemic.

But even with it being online, families and researchers can still learn some cool information from people all over our country.

"Looking on the bright side of things, even though it is virtual, that means we can invite even more people to come to visit our museum and enjoy paleo fest. We have researchers giving presentations from Australia and other parts of the country," said Emily Freiburger.

The event is a three day event and it ends on Sunday.

You can check out events on the museum's Facebook page.
