13 Heroes: Zachary Baker

(WREX) — For the final 13 days of 2020, 13 WREX honored 13 different people in our community who were making a difference.

Our final hero we recognized was Zachary Baker, a registered nurse in the ICU at Mercyhealth.

Zachary worked tirelessly through the pandemic since March and was one of the first people to help treat the first local COVID-19 patient that required hospitalization.

Zachary did all of that while making sacrifices in his personal life, including isolating from his family to keep them safe.
