ROCKFORD (WREX) — Boylan and Harlem teed off a good NIC-10 girls golf duel Thursday afternoon at Atwood, with the teams turning in identical 180 scores. Boylan's Sophia Todoro carded the better 5th score, giving the Lady Titans the tiebreaker victory.

Harlem's Brighton Young turned in a dominant performance, firing a 33 on 9 holes at the Winnebago Co. Forest Preserve course. Her teammate Reese Stovall shot a 37, tying Boylan's Ella Greenberg.

Earlier this week, the IHSA announced golf will be allowed to play a 2nd round of postseason action, meaning they'll have a Regional and Sectional tournament, but no state tournament after that.
