IDPH: Rockford among sites impacted by delayed testing results

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Illinois Department of Public Health says several testing sites across the state, including one in Rockford, have been impacted by delays from the lab the specimens were sent to.

Now, the state says those who were tested between July 12 and July 24 and have not received their results, should go back to a testing location to have another specimen collected.

The state says processing of about 3,800 tests conducted at the sites are delayed beyond the appropriate laboratory testing and reporting window.

Sites in Aurora, Bloomington, East St. Louis, Peoria, Rockford, Rolling Meadows and South Holland are impacted.
