LOVES PARK (WREX) — The Rockford Rivets lost their 2nd straight game to open Northwoods League play, falling 6-4 to the La Crosse Loggers.

There was a lot more offense than in the season opener, which La Crosse won, 1-0. The Rivets jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a Drew Grace chopper allowed Brody Harding to score. The Loggers scored 2 runs in the 5th to cut it to a 3-2 game, then scored 3 runs in the 7th to take the lead, which they would not relinquish.

The Rivets hit the road for their next two games in Green Bay before returning home for games Sunday and Monday.
