ROCKFORD (WREX) -- A man is behind bars following an arrest on Thursday by Rockford Police surrounding drug activity on the north side of the city.
Officials say detectives received reports from citizens about drug activity around the 2400 block of Vernon Street.
On Thursday, detectives pinpointed the exact address to 2414 Vernon Street and executed a search warrant.
Detectives found Mickey Stallworth, 45, of Rockford and two juveniles inside.
Officers also located cocaine, cannbais and recovered a loaded gun.
Stallworth was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, armed violence and possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000.
