FNN Performance of the Week nominees

This past week featured plenty of great performances on basketball courts around the area. Here are this week's candidates for Friday Night Nets Boys Performance of the Week.

Auburn's Haniefe Johnson scored 21 points in a hard-fought win over East last week. Lena-Winslow's Sean Ormiston had 18 points in a key win over Pecatonica in the NUIC North standings. Boylan's Anthony Brown scored 24 points and put his all-around game on display in a win over Auburn to put the Titans in a position to clinch a conference title this week. And Harlem's Dominic Dawsey scored 25 points, leading his team to a comeback victory on the road at Freeport.

Here's a look at the nominees for FNN Girls Performance of the Week.

Peyton Kennedy, our reigning FNN Girls Performance of the Week winner, broke her career high with 38 points against Guilford last week. Miyah Brown scored 37 points to help Winnebago beat Rock Falls in overtime to win a 2-A Regional championship. Eastland's all-time leading scorer Erin Henze had 27 points, including making 7 3-pointers in the 1-A Eastland Regional title game against Polo. And Belvidere's Maya Smith went out with a bang, scoring 31 points in the 3-A Sycamore Regional quarterfinals, as the Lady Bucs lost to Rochelle by four points.
