Rockford man sentenced to 6 years for sexually abusing a minor

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man pled guilty and was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Monday for sexually abusing a minor.

Nathaniel Brown, 23, pled guilty to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

In Jan. 2018, Rockford Police responded to a complaint of a criminal sexual abuse reported by the family of the victim, who was a minor.

Brown was also sentenced to two years of sex offender probation and must register as a sex offender after he's released from jail.
