Four Illinois residents arrested during human trafficking sting

MCHENRY COUNTY, Ill. (WREX) — A human trafficking sting in the Chicago suburbs has lead to four men being arrested.

The operation was in conjunction with a National Initiative, which was the 19th National Johns Suppression Initiative.

During the operation, a total of 451 Johns (buyers) were arrested by 22 law enforcement agencies across the country.

The following men were arrested and charged with solicitation of a sex act:

  • Lawrence Allen, of Algonquin
  • Mahirul Chowdhurry, of Arlington Heights
  • Jeffery Fuka, of Algonquin
  • Christopher Rios, of Elgin

The task force is made up of several police departments, including Algonquin Police Department, Cary Police Department, Crystal Lake Police Department, Huntley Police Department, Illinois State Police, Lake in the Hills Police Department, McHenry City Police Department, and Woodstock Police Department.
