ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man is charged with first degree murder stemming from a 2019 double murder.
Kelvin Langston is accused of killing Christina Langston-Hill, 27, and her husband, Teon Hill, 28, Aug. 8, 2019 at their home on Bruce St.
The month prior, police responded to the same home for an incident where Langston-Hill was dog sitting for a friend when Langston and Douglas Hollyfield allegedly broke into the home and shot the dog several times, killing it. Hollyfield is not connected to the double murder, police say.
Police say Kelvin Langston and Christina Langston-Hill were brother and sister. Police also said back in 2019 Langston-Hill had a order of protection filed against Langston.
The investigation into the double murder is ongoing.
