Freeport man accused of threatening to kill someone online

FREEPORT (WREX) — A Freeport man is accused of threatening to kill someone online.

Corey Havens, 31, of Freeport, was served with an arrest warrant on Jan. 21.

Authorities say the incident allegedly on Jan. 1, 2020.

Police say Havens allegedly threatened to kill someone through electronic communication.

Havens is charged with harassment through electronic communications, class 4 felony.

Havens is being held in the Stephenson County Jail with a $100,000 bond, which 10% needs to be paid.
