Rockford man in custody, authorities recover thousands of dollars of drugs

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man is in custody after authorities recover thousands of dollars of drugs from his home.

Alexander Kiddell, 37, of Rockford, was taken into custody after a long struggle on Wednesday at his residence in the 4900 block of Dorset Dr.

During the search, authorities recovered more than 2,300 grams of cocaine and more than six pounds of cannabis.

Ecstasy/molly, mushrooms, adderall pills, hydrocodone pills, Xanax bars and two loaded guns were also found in the home, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.

Kiddell faces several charges, including armed violence, resisting a peace officer, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver over 900 grams, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver 2,000-5,000 grams, 5 counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Kiddell is being held in the Winnebago County Jail.
