Northwest Bank teaches children to start good habits on saving money

ROCKFORD (WREX) — It’s not too early to talk to your child about how to save money.

Northwest Bank hosted ‘Teach Children How to Save Day’ in Rockford.

The bank gave presentations to 3rd and 8th graders about how to save money.

They hope it’ll inspire kids to make a good habit out of it in hopes to plan for the future.

“We think it’s important to start that foundation for them at an early age so they understand it’s important to save money and let it grow over time so when they’re older they have a huge foundation to start with their lives,” said Northwest Bank universal banker Kyra Jones.

‘Teach Children How to Save Day’ is a national program held each year in April.
